Niam acquires development rights for logistics in Örebro

Niam has acquired 60,000 sqm of land for logistics development in Palmbohult, Örebro, together with Nordsten Development. The property holds a strategic location with excellent access to Stockholm, Oslo, and Gothenburg.

On the property outside Örebro, plans are in place for the construction of a state-of-the-art logistics facility of approximately 24,000 sqm. Construction is expected to begin in autumn 2024, and the building will be environmentally certified according to BREEAM, with the ambition to achieve an Outstanding rating.

“This is our fifth logistics transaction in the past year, bringing the portfolio to around 310,000 sqm. As part of our long-term strategy, we continue to seek logistics assets throughout the Nordics,” says Henrik Gerdin, Fund Manager at Niam.

Palmbohult is a business area of about 50 hectares, located close to Örebro Airport, west of the E18/E20 motorway and south of central Örebro.

“This facility will be Nordsten Development’s first project in Örebro, and we look forward to the collaboration with Niam in the continued development process,” says Christoffer Bööj, Chairman of the Board at Nordsten Development.
